Our Impact Latest News NASDC on shortlist for prestigious Beyond Sport award The National Alliance of Sport for Desistance of Crime (NASDC) has been named on the Official Shortlist for this year's Beyond Sport Global Awards in the 'Best Partnership or Collaboration' category. The NASDC, which was launched by the 2nd Chance Group in October 2015 to help its members use the power of sport to prevent offending and rehabilitate offenders, has been selected as one of 37 shortlisted organisations out of more than 300 entries worldwide for this year’s awards. This year’s entries are the most diverse yet, showcasing work from over 70 countries and 40 sports on topics such as health, gender, STEM education, equality, climate change, accessibility and inclusion, tech and employability. The NASDC will now be invited to send a representative to the ceremony on July 26th in New York City, where the winners will be announced. Justin Coleman, Head of the NASDC, commented: "We must thank the tireless work and dedication of the NASDC Steering Group, as well as the wonderful support of Comic Relief, the Youth and Adult Justice policy and delivery teams under the Ministry of Justice, and also our 230 member organisations, who educate and inspire us constantly.
